It’s never easy when you are tasked with updating an historic building, but with our flush windows...
They had a useful visual guide to help us identify a suitable window replacement, in the form of some photographs of the cottage in the 1950’s. Carefully scrutinised, they felt that flush casement windows would be an ideal modern equivalent as they shared a similar styling. With the flush range, Tom could also have coloured bars integrated into the windows and monkeytail handles, for added authenticity.
Because he often plays host to guests, Tom wondered if it would be possible to extend the kitchen into the garden, which would also exploit the stunning view outside. This was achieved by adapting the kitchen window and converting it into a set of French doors.
All done and dusted in just four hours…
