Conservatory, Orangery or Home Extension?
In contrast to an orangery or other house extension, a conservatory isn’t meant to mimic the styling of the property where it’s installed, more to complement its appearance. It has glass everywhere and it’s this that helps it offer a very outdoor-like atmosphere.
Orangeries are the opposite and take their character from the home they’re integrated into so that they are well co-ordinated and in harmony with each other. With a higher volume of brickwork than a conservatory, it offers a very private space that you can rely on for comfortable surroundings.
The appeal of a house extension will often come down to it having a solid roof or when it’s being constructed in place of an old conservatory. It can incorporate roof windows too, which is great if you want lots of natural light and the option of some overhead ventilation.
Colour and vibrancy from inside the extension can come from some bright coloured cushions and rugs, which will reflect the colours generated by your garden.
